Google Ads & Email Marketing

Little Background
As an animal lover, I’ve always enjoyed spending time at shelters and rescues, so I reached out to Austin‑area nonprofits to see if they needed support with their marketing efforts. I also knew that nonprofits are eligible for the Google Ad Grants program, which provides $10,000 per month in free advertising, and offered to set up and manage their accounts. This allowed me to help them strengthen their digital presence, reach more adopters and volunteers, and make better use of the resources available to them.
What I Did
My work for the nonprofits included designing posters for adoptable cats, setting up Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, securing approval for their Google Ad Grants accounts, and managing their ad campaigns. I continue to create new ads and optimize existing ones based on performance data and insights from the analytics platforms.
For APA!, I also develop targeted email campaigns on MailChimp highlighting dogs with urgent adoption needs, helping increase visibility and drive more engagement for animals who need it most.

Results
The ad campaigns consistently maintain a 6%+ click‑through rate and generate 1,000+ impressions, bringing significantly more visibility and traction to the nonprofit. This performance has helped increase awareness, drive more qualified traffic, and strengthen their overall digital presence.
The posters have also played an important role in the adoption process by helping visitors get familiar with each cat’s personality and story, making it easier for potential adopters to feel connected and make informed decisions.
What do I do now?
I continue to support both nonprofits by creating new posters, running ongoing ad campaigns, and developing targeted email outreach. My focus is on increasing visibility for volunteer opportunities, donations, and adoptions, while consistently refining campaigns based on performance data to maximize impact.
